Lovebug ~ Coming Soon!
Waiting is so hard
Wondering who, where you are
Praying you come soon
I saw this idea today– birth stories in Haiku (via Making Home via Conversion Diary) and I love writing Haiku poetry, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. Can you Haiku?
Shining silky seas
Deep gulps of fresh salty breeze
Uh oh sea sickness!
(This haiku brought to you by my ferry boat ride to Greece tomorrow!)
the rain flows steadily from the sky
it seems fitting for now
thoughts flow in and out of conscious thought
the quietness hugs me, bidding me come rest.
though unsettled and undecided about many things, my mind gives in
i surrender to sweet sleep
thankful i know the Sovereign One
and he will work even while i rest.
Planted in the soil of a family,
Roots grow deep
Stem grows tall.
Every day I watch them.
Hug them. Kiss them. Teach them. Show them.
Water them. Tend them. Protect them.
Then I blink and wonder how they grew–
Roots so deep and stems so tall
And blooms beyond description.
